I'm Back - with bells on
!
So I guess I spent a lot of time thinking about all the
procrastination and fear stuff that I mentioned in my last
post, huh?
Well not really, but I
certainly allowed stuff to get in my way - it really was
important personal stuff that I had to attend to over the
past 15 months, and to be honest, it has been quite a heavy
time for me - Time has passed so quickly and I have barely
noticed it slipping by. But this is why, unless we are held
accountable for what we do with our time, how we waste such
a precious gift - life.
I have addressed this
whole concept in one of my songs from a long time ago called
"Danny's Song" - I will record this song sometime this year
hopefully - keep a look out for it. But you will see it
mentioned on my
Latest News page
when it is released.
So, getting back to
business. I am not even going to try to weasel my way
out of this - I am not one for sympathy and I abhor making
excuses. So let's just see where I am up to and what has
influenced me since the last post - way back in October,
2006!! Yes I know, its atrocious.
Top of the list is a "must
read" book for you by Steven Pressfield called "The War of
Art" and it is most appropriate at this time - please, let
me know your thoughts if you get the chance. It really
brings the concepts of procrastination and resistance to
light and I found it a most interesting and helpful read.
Any of you creative buffs - you HAVE to read this !
Anyway, my music has also
been given a great big shove in the form of a pending
business opportunity. This is quite a story in itself.
You see, at last post I
had completed "September Moon" and to be honest, it had done
precious little using my conservative hit and miss marketing
methods. And unfortunately, while I have worked on my
own on several songs, none have been finalised yet - Amazingly
David Willis has had an
incredibly busy year building his own business and developing his
Singing Exercises program,
growing them from beginner classes right through to
intermediate and advanced classes.
So anyways, I thought that I
should try getting more serious about
my music and not be afraid of selling "September Moon" - the
proceeds of which would help to fund an exciting new business
opportunity. We just had to get news of it around the
world a little quicker than we were - but what a boost it has made to this site.
If you have
already supported me and my music then I thank you from the
bottom of my heart - it is so wonderful to get your comments and
to feel your enthusiasm.

So, due to popular demand
I will be back on track this year because it no longer feels
like I am living in a delusional world of fantasy - finally
people are finding their way to my site, purchasing my
music, reading my posts, and I am also getting
people referring their friends here as well - my music
career is finally blooming (even though there is still room
to grow at this stage). People are sending me emails
to tell me that they can't wait for the rest of my virtual
album to be produced - this is heartening news, and it
brings me great joy to be closer to my dreams of touching the world
in a special way with my music. This could
only have happened with your help. So, thank you once again
and stay tuned for
more exciting additions to the site.
But please, keep the
support and the emails coming - it helps me to boldly step
forward and reach out further - in music and in business,
together, we can make a difference.
